Osprey Atmos 65 Backpack
This is my "go to" pack for anything from overnights to multiple nights. This pack is fairly lightweight and very durable. I've been using this one since 2007 and it's still going strong. The pack holds a great deal of cargo, and the stretchy kangaroo pocket on the back adds many more liters of cargo room than the 65 advertised. The pack has a large top/lid compartment, two zippered side compartments behind the kangaroo pouch, two large side water bottle pockets, and a large mesh zip pocket on each hip strap. The main compartment has a separate sleeping bag compartment with it's own zipper access. I've been able to fit a Garcia bear canister in the sleeping bag compartment, in the kangaroo pouch, and tied to the webbing on the outside of the pack. I haven't used the tool loops for ice axes, but they hold treking poles securely. The pack has a very comfortable mesh back panel that makes heavy loads feel lighter. I love this pack and I couldn't imagine replacing it with anything but another Atmos.
